Manifesto

There was a time when games weren't made for a screenshot. They were made for that moment when you replay the wave a third time in one evening, because this time it's definitely going to work — and it does.

Ringward isn't trying to impress you with polygons. We have no budget for an artist, and we're glad — because instead of render farms, we spent that time on what actually matters: balance, tactics, the feel of every fight.

Hard pixels. Honest hex combat. Sound synthesized right in the browser, like the old sound chips. No graphics for graphics' sake — only what makes you want to play one more round.
